Valley Program for Aging Services empowers adults 60 years and older with the resources and opportunities they need to lead engaged lives and navigate the changes that come with aging. We're looking for volunteer ambassadors to join our effort. As a VPAS ambassador, you'll build valuable skills and connect seniors to local resources - helping to create a caring community where older adults are celebrated.
The orientation provides you with the tools you need to be informed on community resources and act as an advocate for our aging community members. As a VPAS Ambassador you will:
Spend the afternoon with us! Ambassador Orientation is from 1:00-3:00, but we encourage you to see first-hand how you can help VPAS create a dementia-friendly community by staying for the Dementia Friends Workshop immediately following orientation, from 3:00-4:00 p.m.
