Our Aging With Confidence educational programs are usually one time workshops/presentations that help seniors to navigate the challenges that come with aging. Topics of discussion might include: financial planning, end-of-life planning, health and wellness, caregiving, home modifications and aging in place, travel, technology, and more.

During this workshop, presented by Central Shenandoah Valley Master Gardeners, you will learn how to start your own personal garden, discover what grows best in the Shenandoah Valley, and hear about adaptive gardening to ease the strain on our bodies. Green thumbs guaranteed by the end of this interactive session!

Ready, Set, Grow!

Today, more of us are living alone or with a partner. Finding meal plans and motivation to cook can seem like a chore. And yet, one of the easiest ways to improve your mental and physical health is by preparing more meals at home. In this two-part workshop series, Fred Schulte and Jessie Shickel, Dining Services employees at Bridgewater Retirement Community, will provide tips, guidance and cooking demos to inspire your home dining experience!

Dates: January 9 and February 6 from 10:00am-11:30am
